AT THE OCTAGON
Two feature films are included iu the .new bill at the Octagon. The first film is ‘ Once to Every Woman,’ a Universal feature starring Dorothy Phillips. Aurora Meredith was' the pot of the family. Her good looks and sweet voice singled her oat as a little bettor than the rest of the household, and she accepted the sacrifices of her parents and sisters as a matter of course. • At the graduation exorcises her voice attracted the attention of a visitor from the big city, who offered to send her abroad to study for grand opera. Her selfish little soul delighted at the opportunity, and she left homo without regret. How she finally achieved her greatest desire, won fame and admiration, and suitors waited upon her pleasure, and how she found all this worldly success to be dross and vanity compared to her mothers love and the devotion of her girlhood, sweetheart, is admirably told. Also on the bill is Duck Jones in ‘ Firebrand Trevis-.m.’ ’One scene called for a ride of nearly a mile, in which Hannon, as the villain, was pursued by Buck Jones. The villain on a light pony, the fleetest of foot on the ranch, was turned loose in a pasture some two miles in length, lying in a bottom along the Mojavo River. Hood supports are shown, and the Octagon Orchestra supplies good music.
