OTAGO ANNUAL REGATTA
Those interested in aquatic sports are assured of a treat at Port Chalmers on Boxing Day, when the Otago annual regatta will be held. Excellent entries have been received for all events, and the presence of several crews from northern clubs will add considerable interest to the Towing events. The sailing and motor boat races have also attracted laxge entries, and tlie yacht races should provide good finishes, as well as making a fine spectacle. A big field will start in the Motor Boat Race, and eome fast times are expected to be put trp. Mr Olds'will give some high diving and swirmmng exhibitions. The Green Island Brass Band will be in attendance, and everything points to the regatta being a most saccessfnl one in every way. The Railway" Department is making special provision for conveying patrons to and from Port Charmers. Programmes are obtainable at tho Sports Depot, or can bo had from tho boys at Port.
