DUNEDIN CENTRE EXECUTIVE. The monthly meeting of the executive was held last evening, Mr W. G. Hay (president) in tho chair. The Secretary of the Central Otago Bowling Centre wrote that it had managed to get only five rinks to come to Dunedin,to play the Dunedin Centre’s representatives on Tuesday next. The Central players will arrive on Monday evening. The names of the local players selected will be published in to-morrow’s issue. It was decided that the interprovincial match with Canterbury be played in Christchurch on Thursday. February 24, and the secretary was instructed to circularise clubs asking them to nominate players who,could make the trip if selected. It is intended to send a team of the best available players. Dunedin Centre will supply five rinks, and -South Otago, North Otago, and Central Otago Centres one rink each. The Southland Centre having also asked for an interprovincial match, to be played in Dunedin, it was decided that the gam© be played on Wednesday, March 9. The other centres in Otago are to be asked to provide one rink each for this fixture also, and Dunedin Centre fire rinks. Regarding the interclub fixtures for Saturday, January 8, it was represented to the executive that several clubs would find ifepractically impossible to raise full teams for this game, on account of so many placers being out of town. In view of these representations, the executive decided to postpone this club fixture to a date to bo fixed later.
