STATE EXPERIMENTAL FARM
FOR SOUTHLAND. [Pun United Phess Association.] INVERCARGILL, December 15. The Hon. W. Nosworthy, Minister of Agriculture, received a deputation representing the farmers’ organisations of Southland to-day on the subject of a*State experimental farm for Southland. In the course of a sympathetic reply the Minister expressed the opinion that a number of small experimental establishments, such as that at Stratford, would be of greater value to the Dominion than large State farms like Wereroa and Ruakura. He is to- inspect several proposed sites in the province.
