A three-hour programme will be presented next Friday, Saturday, and Monday afternoons, when the management ot the Grand and Plaza Theatres hope to demonstrate the fact that there is really something new in the realm of the photoPiK.ty Presenting for the first time the William Fox extravaganza ' Aii Baba and the Forty Thieves.' This extravaganza, as such, is familiar to the patrons of the legitimate stage in the big musical shows and the numerous revues that have 'been presented from time to time. The idea was not deemed feasible for the screen until William Fox abandoned all precedent and presented 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp.' The immediate success which these met encouraged a further production along these lines, and 'Ali Baba' is the remarkable result. There will be screened also another classic from the realm of literature in Maurice Tourneur's production of Robert Louis Stevenson's 'Treasure Island.' Telling a tale of the swashbuckling days of the Spanish Main, the picture presents a -wealth of incident, a full quota of thrills and contains all the -unusual atmosphere and colorful characters of Stevenson's famons story.
