WELLINGTON, October 15. A new departure in the oil business is to be made by the Vacuum Oil Company, who intend erecting at Miramar two tanks, each to hold 65,000 barrels of oil. Some years ago pla,ns were drawn for tanks near Kaiwarra, but nothing was done. The new _ tanks, for which some of the material is already on the ground, are dose to the Miramar wharf, where the steamers will lie and pump the oil to the company's property as required. It will be pumped back to oil-burning ships. The tanks will be surrounded by an earthen embankment as security against fire.
