CARPENTIER OUTS LEVINSKY. Press Association—By Telegraph— Copyright. NEW YORK, October 12. At Jersey City Carpentier knocked out Jjevinsky in the fourth round. Boxing devotees declare that Carpentier s fighting left much to.he desired. Jjevinsky was notably weak. Carpentier entered the ring weighing 12st 2*lb, and Levinsky 12at 710, In the first round both men fought coolly, and were sparring energetically at the bell. .In the second round Carpentier sent left and ricdit to tho jaw, knocking Levinsky down twice tor tho .count of eight. Levinsky was dizzy at the hell. In the third round Levinsky clinched, landing fight blows on Carpentier s body. x In the fourth Carpentier .landed lefts and rights at will and finallv. gliding half-way across thenng, knocked out his opponent with a right to the jaw.—A. and N.Z.
