KING'S THEATRE

The new headliner at the King's. Theatre ia 'The Whirl of Life,' a daring and beautiful picture of the true story of the romantic adventures of Irene' Vernon Castle and her husband. Tito couple, after their Parisian success, opened in New York, and were bitterly opposed by an opposition show company, who stuck at no villany to prevent the dancing pair having a successful first night. The dancing 6cenes in the film are little short of marvellous, particularly those shown at " Castles-by-the-Sea," the luxurious dancing palace which the Castles built at the seaside in New York, and which became therendezvous of all the Yankee capital's millionairedom. There is also shown a quaint and clever short film of the adventures of Egnert M'Wowse-, who went to a dancing party to put down the evils which he imagined existed there. He thinks the Jazz is something to drink, but soon gets undeceived. The Jazz, the Tickletoe, the 'Whirly-Whirly, the Walk ing Yv r altz, the Pox Trot, and other up-to-date steps are shown exactly by George Irving and Ethel Bennetto, in the clever Jazz film which precedes 'The Whirl of Life'; while Mrs Yernon Castles illustrates the Castle Waltz, the Castle Onestep, the Castle Pavanne, etc., which, apart from the beautiful picture, are sure to evoke enthusiasm from lovers of the graceful dance.
