The conference proceeded to discuss the proposed amendments, on the understanding that whatever decision was ultimately arrived at it would not mean a breakaway from too English Union. All the proposed amendments were rejected, save those already alhrmed by the English Union and one which relates to kicking into touch from a penalty or inside the kicker's twenty-five., in which case the ball shall be brought back into play in the usual way spot opposite to where it was kicked
