THE PONSONBY MURDER
SUPREME PENALTY TO BE ENFORCED.

WELLINGTON, June 15. The Ponsonby murder case and sentence passed upon Dennis Gunn were considered at a meeting of the Executive Council this morning, His Excellency the Gover-nor-General presiding. It was afterwards announced that His Excellency, acting on and with the advice of his Ministers, sees no reason why the decision of the Court should be interfered with.
