EROSION AT ST. CLAIR

FURTHER CONSIDERED BY CITE COUNCIL. _ Two communications from the Ocean Beach Domain Board were received by the City Council last night: Ono, informing the council of their opinion that it would be in the best public interest if their functions were vested in the council, provided satisfactory arrangements could be made_ with St. Kilda Council; and two, submitting a revised estimate of tho cost of the protective works at St. Clair, and asking for further financial assistance. It was stated that the cost in smht iva-> now £3,000 instead of £1,500. ° . Cr Clark said he moved the motion at the meeting of the Domain Board and would now move that the first question be referred to the Finance Committee for a report. The whole thing hinged on the question whether satisfactory arrangements could be made with the adjacent borough.
