Th© monthly meeting of the Northeast Valley W.C.T.U. was held on Thursday afternoon. Owing to the severe -weather there was a rather poor attendance. _Miss Low 9 (vice-president) took the chair. Miss Lowe took the Scripture reading from Acts sjc., and gave mi inspiring address on ' For Ourselves and Living for Christ/ Mrs Begg engaged in prayer. Two interesting; letters were read from Mm Don (Dominion president), -written on board a st-sjaier bound for England. Misses Bailey and Inglis -were appointed superintendents of the Band of Hope, also to represent the union at the meeting to be held in connection with Band of Hope work.
