The new programme, which commenced at these theatres to-day, is headed by One Dollar Bid,* Warren Kerrigan's latest Paralta feature, in which, as the young lawyer who has been brought to the depths through drink, ho gives the nnest impersonation of his career The story is an absorbing one. It is '«,t in Kentucky, where a law is still in force whereunder a man of no visible means of support can be bought by the highest bidder for servitude for a y ea r. Lois Wilson plays the part of the girl who buys the young lawyer? for a dollar, and in doing so reclaimed him from despair and degradation. There is a generous supporting programme, including the latest Topical gazette, an educational film and a comedy.
