LODGE MEETING

The usual meeting of Court St. Andrews, A.0.F., was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Caversham., C.R. Tiro. A. Duncan presiding. C.R,, Bro. W. Bridges (an old Dunedin Forester, now of Invercargill) was a visitor, and Avns heartily welcomed by the C.R. and memhers. The delegates attending the annual district meeting at Balelutha at Easter time gave a report of the 'business-transacted, and referred to the manner in which the Clutha Court entertained the delegates, of which there was a record attendance under the new representative scheme. Bro. W. Bridges, on behalf of the court, presented to LP.C.R. Bro. J. Brough a P.C.R.'s certificate, in acknowledgment of the satisfactory manner in which he had conducted the business while occupying the position of Chief Ranger. P.C.R. Bro. Brough, in thanking the brethren for the presentation, regretted that he had not taken a greater interest in the court while he was younger, as he now recognised that every brother should do so. Bro. W. Bridges thanked the brothers for their reception. The weekly meeting of the Hope of Dmiedin Lodge, 1.0. G.T., was held on Wednesday evening in the lodge room, Bowling street, Bro. Meek, C.T., presiding. The visitors, including Sister Donaldson, from Christ-church, received a hearty welcome, and in responding conveyed" the greetings of the Elope of Christchurch Lodge, The C.T. of the Rescue Lodge and Bro. Sincock, D.C.T., also spoke on the good of the Order! The arrangements lor the "at home" to be held next meeting were approved of, and friends are assured of a pleasant evening. The contest for the banner was postponed till nest quarter. Several contests and a musical programme were carried out, and the visitors were accorded the usual vote, which wjfc- duly responded to, and the greetings of the lodge fopwarded to the Hope of Christ-church Lodge.
