SINGAPORE, April 12. . Captain Matthews departed from Batavia this morning. WELTEVREDEN, April 12. Captain Matthews has landed at Yalidjati.

Matthews is leaving Weltevreden on Wednesday morning without, calling at Surabaya, flying straight to Bima (in Sumbawa). As Bima is not-connected telegraphically with Australia, Matthews jnay arnve in Australia during the next weekend without further notice of his movements, provided ho docs not change his idea and land elsewhere.
BANGKOK, April 7. Two of the aviators competing in the Rome to Tokio flight have -arrived here. , JAPAN ALERT. NEW YORK, April 11.' General Nagaoka, head of the Japanese aviation service, has arrived here to study American flying methods.
