Tn the afternoon the amateur athletic meeting was held on the Basin Reserve in the presence of some 4,000 spectators. The aggregate shield was won by the holders, •Victoria College, with 14 championship points; Otago "second (13), Auckland 10, and Canterbury 2. Results ; I Putting 16ib Shot.—G. R.
