OCEAN TAKES A BITE
OUT OF THE SANDHILLS ROAD AT ST. CLAIR. II is hardly an item of news that the soa has washed away the face 'of tho hi-* sand rill just to tb© cost of easternmost groyne on tho St, Clair Beach. Such a happening was foreseen as inevitable. The purpose oi this paragraph is to warn holidayxncmckers that tho nipper road alon* the Sandhills is now unsafe for children” As viewed this afternoon the sand-siido hag undermined tho edge of this road for a distanca of about taa sereeninv of scrub at this place may serve as a °trao for tho unwary, since there is a deep drop there. The whole position is deplorable and tbi-eatening, In line connection we again put forward the suggestion of an observant resident, so far derided, that tho stones at the outer edge of tho baths should bo restored to moderate tho scour. The experiment would cost only a few pounds, and it might do good. .
