In the Baden Powell inquiry the Court found that there had been no negligence on the part of the- master or and returned their certificates, ordering that the costs of inquiry be borne by the Marine Department.' [The Baden Powell is employed in the Wellington-New Plymouth-Lyttelton cargo trade. She grounded recently near New Plymouth, and as a result of" the damage sustained, was placed on the Lvttelton slip for repairs.]
