OBITUARY
A Wellington messago announces tha death of Mr P. J. Dunne, journalist, who ™ formerly editor of the West Coast 'Times,' the Levin 'Chronicle,' and the Ohakuno 'Times.' He was 55 years old. Major Charles A. R. Scott, of the 19th South Wales Borderers, youngest son of the late Major Hugh Scott, of Gala, o-alashiels, Scotland, died suddenly at Auckland on Sunday last. Major Scott served 11 years in India, until his health broke down. He returned to Scotland, but not regaining his health there he came out to New Zealand, where he snent the last- nine years. He married a daughter of Mr J. H. Milligan, of Oamaru. A Rotorua P.A. message announced that Sigvard Jacob Bannefaerd died this morning of pneumonia, aged 66. He was a member of a noble Danish family, and was a celebrated naturalist. He was prominent in the Masonic Order, and was formerly, president of the Bowling Club.
