WORKERS' DWELLINGS
AT MAORI HILL. At next Wednesday night's "meeting -»t the City Council the Works Committee will report that the four architects appointed by the council to prepare designs for the proposed workers' homes at Maori Hill have completed their task. Before the matter can be further advanced it will be necessary to ascertain the approximate total cost of the dwellings, anV this can best be done by calling tenders for the work. It is accordingly recommended that instructions be now"given 'o tho architects to draw "up specification', snd invite tenders for the dwellings at the earliest possible date. Each architect will call tenders on his own deigns, and there will thus be four sets of prices for consideration.
