THE MACUBTATN MURDER. LONDON, March 24. The inquest on the body of Mr MacCuriain, the murdered ex-Lord Mayor of Cork, was resumed at 7.30 at night. Forty . constables, armed with rifles, guarded the court. Sinn Fein volunteers had charge of the arrangements, and regulated the admission to the inquest chamber. The Crown Solicitor applied for an adjournment, saying that the authorities desirea to assist to the utmost in elucidating the murder, but the constabulary could, not guarantee the peace of the city if the inquiry was held at night timeMr Lynoh, K.C., representing the next of kin, invited the jury to attach great importance to the fact that a-policeman's umtorm was found in Mr MacCurtpin's house; and he demanded that the authorities produce the names of the police absent irom barracks at the time of the murder.
