A tea was given by 70 members of the boys' division, Y.M.C.A., last evening to Mr W. Owens, who is visiting the association from Hyderabad, India- At the conclusion of the tea the chairman briefly introduced Mr Owens, who spoke to the boys of the need of a special effort to help the million boys among whom the and Kew Zealand secretaries were working in our foreign field of Hyderabad State, South India. He gave a very interesting account of life in the East, and how the Y.M.O.A. were trying to better the conditions of living in thess places. He concluded by asking the members to remember their work in India and do something to raise money to Tielp carry on their work. During the , evenintr presentations were made to Messrs M. P. Lyng and C. Thomlinsori for coming first and second respectively in the division ping pong championship. Messrs Gain /and Brown contributed items, Mr R. Don presiding at the. piano.
