SALTATION ARMY
By advertisement Captain MTvenzie notifies that the silver band will render special selections and marches at the openair at the Fountain at 7.30 to-night. The Home League, who are busy each week making garments for the poor, are in need of more material, and so to-night a special collection will be taken up for that purpose. If anyone is unable to bo present, a request is made to se'nd a collection, as the captain is anxious that a special effort should be made. All day Sunday special services will be held in the Citadel in Bowling street, the morning service being particularly adapted for Christians. The afternoon service is of a praise character, while in the evening a revival service will bo conducted. Bandsman Parker will be the soloist. The Silver Band will render ' Hebrew Melodies ' and ' I'll Praise Him.' The orchestra will accompany the singing. Captain M'Kenzie, who is the speaker for tho service, has taken as his subject ' A Hebrew Love Story.' A special invitation is issued to returned soldiers and working men |to attend these services, and a large crowd are expected to be present.
