The Board of Directors for the local "3T.ftI.CA. invited representative citizens to meet Meeexa W. Owens, B.A.,.and T. Haslett, M.A., at lunch to-day. Mr Owens is the general secretary of the Y.M.C.A. at Hyderabad, and was the late supervising secretary of Australian | Y.M.C.A. war work- in Egypt and Palestin*. Mr Haslet* is.in charge of ihe Dominion Y.M.C.A. religions work. Mr H._ K. Wilkinson occupied the chair, and briefly introduced th<> visitors, who were .both returned men. Mr Haslett said hid duty lay in helping to build up the horns basic by strengthening the religious side of the association's work. They had to stand definitely for religions work at home and abroad, and alwavs in co-opera-tion and harmony with the churches.
