OBITUARY
A Christchurch telegram reports: Mrs General Mite, aged 41 years, is dead. Deceased, who was 3ft 3in high and weighed 2st 41h, made her first appearance in public in 1881 at the Isle of Man. She subsequently appeared by Royal Command at Marlborough House before King Edward VII, also before royalty on the Continent. Her death occurred while she was boarding a tram irj this city. With her husband. General Mite, she toured the Dominion some years ago as members of the ‘Tinv Town ’ Company. ■ A P.A. message from Christchurch announce;/ the death of Mr William H.
