MOKOIA DUE TO-AIORROW. The Alokoia is .due at’.Dunedin early to- 1 morrow morning; from Auckland ” via Napier and Wellington. The vessel will berth at the. cross wharf to discharge several hundred tons of general cargo, ■ and is timed to sail at 2 p.m. on Saturday for Lyttelton. She will assist in the ferry service for a trip or two next week, anil will leave Lyttelton on Wednesday, December 24, for Wellington, Napier, Gisborne, and Auckland. SW’EDISH SHIP AT MELBOURNE. The Swedish sailing .vessel G. D. Kennedy. a training ship of the Rederiaktieb , Transatlantic, which arrived ,at Melbourne on the evening of .December 8 from Norwegian and Swedish ports, is the first sailing vessel to visit the Victorian port from the Baltic since the signing of the armia- i tice. She brought a load of Baltic timber. The G. D. Kennedy is a fine, fast- \ looking ship of 1.482 tons gross, and like j the Bohns, of the same fleet, is used r.s- •' a training ship for officers.in tire service ; cf the line. At present she has in her ' complement 24 young cadets in training ; for officers. Her voyage to Australia was ' uneventful, prolonged rather because only ; slight winds prevailed for the belter part 1 of the passage. She left a week before, . the bangle Bohns, which is now due at ' Alelbourno. Both vessels have visited Alelbonflic previously, but the G. D. Ken-' nedy not as a training ship.
