'THE MAN WHO CAME BACK'

Tho J. C. Williamson, Muriel Starr season will commence at His Majesty's Theatre to-morrow night. The supporting artists include Mr Frank Harvey (who will be remembered for his fine performance as the hero in 'The Man Who Stayed at Home'), Miss Ethel Morrison (last hero with Marie Tempest), Mattie Browns, Berz Bryant. The piece chosen for the opening production is the dynamic drama 'The Man Who Came Back.' This is not a war play—the plot having nothing whatever to do with any incident in the late war. The " coming back" is the regeneration of a young and foolish man, lead by a good and beautiful woman. The play is said to have proved the greatest dramatic success Australia has had for many years. It will be staged for four nights, and will give place to the ' Bird of Paradise' —a romantic drama with a locale pitched in Hawaii, and a play that comes with a most aatonishinglv fine forward reputation. In ' The Man Who Came Back' Muriel Starr will be seen as Marcelle, a cabaret singer. ' In this exacting role, she is said to have many fine opportunities for the exposition of her art. To-morrow evening at frequent intervals during the 'performance the election results will be announced from the stage.
