A strong attraction has been secured by the management of the Plaza Theatre in "1h.9 Amateur Adventuress,' the' chief item of a n«w and entertaining programme screened to-day. 'The Amateur Adventuress ' is a breezy comedy-drama in live acts, giving Emmy Whelen, the popular picture actress, a role of unusual charm and originality. She is seen as Norma Wood, a girl who tires of her monotonous existence and determines to seek the adventure which, she craves. Two things are necessary, however, for the undertaking—clothes and money, neither of which she possesses. How sha eventually gets them, and what 6he encounters on her quest for excitement, is cleverly shown in this brilliant and scintillating comedv. The- play also tells of the romance *and love which come into her life, and how she decides that thesa are- the greatest, biggest adventures after all. The plot ia cunningly constructed to enteatain and amuse, and Miss Wehlen is seen in tho cleverest characterisation of her career, There is also shown the 14th instalment or 'Kultur.'
