OTTAWA PRESS CONFERENCE

The Council of the Empire Press Union have sent an invitation, on behalf of the Canadian Government and the Canadian Press, to attend the Ottawa Conference, to be held during the first week of August, to 60 British and 40 from the outer Empire apart from Canada, including the Commonwealth (14) and New Zealand (7). The delegates are expected to arrive at Halifax during the last week in July. Canada has offered to pay all expenses, but the British have declined the sea passage money, and the other delegations are left to act similarly, if they prefer it. Women may attend the -conference, but there is no piwision for delegates' wives. A good many names have come forward from Britain, where the conference is attracting much Ftroo atiestisfi.
