LONDON. November 4. (Received November 6, at 9.15 a.m.)
General Sir R. Henderson presided at a reunion dinner of tho New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association. There were ISO present, including Sir Thomas Mackenzie and Mr Andrew Fisher.
Replying to the toast of " His Majesty's Forces," Sir lan Hamilton paid a tribute to the Xew Zeaianders' gallantry, and added: " Send a cheque if you like to support the League oi Nations, but for God's sake, beys, keep up your musketry practice." Replying to the toast of "The Overseas Forces," General Mo'nash said the Dominions' war effort was the greatest Imperial event in modern times. The very association of New Zealanders with Australians had brought about a bond of comradeship which was not going to die. The war had been a wondei ul experience for the Dominions, despite their sufferings, and it was a question whether the Dominions would not gain from it more than they had lost.
