[The Czecho-Slovaks in tho Austrian army surrendered in great numbers to the Russians early in the war Liberated after tho Russian Revolution, they en deavored to cross Siberia-so as to embark lit Vkdivostock, and reach Europe to fight for the Allies on the west front. Baulked in this plan, they again turned west and did good service m protecting the TranSiberian railway from Bolshevik forces ]
