SCHOOL COMMITTEE
■ The monthly meeting of tho Anderson Ear Miool Co-nmitteo was liekt last eveninc". the following members boing present: "Menirs Somerville (chairman), Bone, Burns, Cox, Downing, Kirk-wood, M'l/ean, and \Vix. The head master reported that the aveifago weekly roll for June quarter, was 327, and the average attendance 275. A cocoa club has been started at the school, and i=s now working very smoothly, A large number of children are participatiiMT. and seem to appreciate tho warm drink. All 1 lie members of the staff arc giving valuable service in the working of the club. Miss Frazcr has entered on her duties as fourth assistant. A letter was recoived from tho School Committee^'Association stating that a programme had bean drawn up in (connection with the peace celebrations, and asking the commit, tee to put as much enthusiasm as possible into this, and help to make it "a red-letter day" in tho lives of the children. Messrs Bone and Kirkwood were appointed a visiting committee for the month.
