PULLING THE WIRES
The man at the switchboard connecting the various Bolshevik wires hi Fritz Platten, the foremost Labor leader in Switzerland, and outside of Lenin the most avowed advocate in Europe of the salvation of the world through the dictatorship of the proletariat. His father is said to be a Saxon who emigrated to Switzerland, where Plcittea was born. Platt-en, however, is paid to be evorv inch a Prussian. The "will to power" is in his blood. It is his creed,' only in his case this will be directed, not towards the attainment of militarism, but of proletariat power. He seemed !•> a recent observer nothing less than a Hindcnburg of Labor—cold, -caioiMing, ruthless. He knows what ho wants said 15 ruthless in getting it.
