WOMEN WORKERS
[From Cub Special Cohrkspondhnt.; WELLINGTON, July 2. The United Labor Federation conference concluded their deliberations to-day. There was considerable discussion on the position of women workers, especially in offices where the Shops and Offices Act does not afford protection, cases cited showing the. need for comprehensive amendments of the Act. A motion was passed urging the periodical inspection o: inll places, ftne/nding .shops .anil (.like* where women and c;irk a« employed. A motion providing Hunt no woman l>3 called upon to work overtime without a permit was also agreed to.
