DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE. A fair amount of business took place at Jha first call-over on the local Exchange to-day. The dredging and mining markets were quiet. In investments, South British Insurance buyers have firmed to £S Is 6d, but no sellers came forward under £B 4s. P. and O.s have had a sharp rise, and were Touted at £4BO, sellers asking £495. Two sales took place in National Insurances, at 80s, the market closing with a further buyer at that price, bub without sellers. Hudclarte have hardened and a parcel changed hands at 43s 3d, closing with a buyer at 43s 3d and a seller at 43s 6d. Westport Coals continue to have inquiry at 29s 9d, while Stocktons were wanted at 7s 2d. but sellers asked 7s 6d. One hundred shares of New Zealand Paper Mills were sought for at 27s 6d, but a seller was prepared to sell only 80 at that price ; finally two sales took place at 27s 6d. Oamaru Woollens, 'Daily Times,’ Perpetual Trustees, and Brace Woollens all came in for inquiry, but no sellers were offering.
