Commentators attribute the fail of Signer Orlando firstly to the agitation of the Socialists, who declare that, despite the victory, tho war has ruined Italy; secondly, "to a Nationalist movement caused 'by President Wilson's message in regard to Fiume; thirdly, to the slowness of "the Peace Conference and the impolitic attitude adopted t '.wards Italy, uhesc te-ritorial chums in the Adriatic and Ada Minor and Africa are still unsettled.
