Messrs Bray Bros, (of Dunedin), Ltd., report as follows for the week ended today : Business has been quiet in the fruit line since the holidays. The great proportion coming forward lias not been first-class, but anything choice has realised satisfactory prices. Nelson growers have had fair quantities of apples condemned through black spot. A shipment of Fiji bananas arrived, soma of them in a very bad state, but any good lines realised high prices. A few lines of tomatoes have come forward., but they are on the green side; good colored ones have readily been picked up. Australian fruits are ail short of supply. The potato maricet has eased a little, but good lines are readily picked up at the ruling prices. Fowl wheat: The market is well supplied. Dairy butter is short of supply. Honey is finding a better sale, and some firstclass samples have reached the market. All lines of vegetables are short of supply and high in price. The following prices were realised during the week: Wheat, 6s 9d per bushel. Oats.—Feed Gartons, 4s per bushel. Chaff.—Prime oaten, £7 per ton. Hitchon’s bacon (scarce), Is per lb. Beeswax, 2s per lb. Honey.—Sections, 9s dozen; bulk, white clover, 6d to 7d. Oheese, mild and matured, Hid. Butter.—Creamery pats. Is 6d; creamery bulk, Is 5Jd; dairy and separator, Is 3d ; milled bulk, Is 4J,d. Apples.—Cookers, 2d to 2jpl per ll>; Scarlets, 15s to 15s per case; Jonathans, 11s per case ; Delicious, 12s 6d per case. Lemons. —Americans, £2 per case ; Adelaides, 16s per case.
