6i Last night the annual meeting of the Diniedin Lodge of the Theosophical Society wae held in the Thecsophical Hfill. Dowlivig street, at 8 p.m. The president (Mi- YV. A. Scott, was in tha chairTho report and halancc-Rhert were read, showing a eatisfac-.tory yenr's progress, especially on tlie financial side, the sum of £ZSO" having been paid off the do'ot on the building. The, following officers were elected :■ — President, Mr W. A. Scott ; vice-prosi-<lmLs, Mi.ss M. ITartley and Mr G. Richardson ; treaauver. Miss A." Hartley; eecratary, Mr C. E. Pell j committeo/ Messrs J. Grainger and A. E. Sccit; auditor, Atr A. IVadie. After tho elections were completed the Preside/nt. on behalf of tha members, presented to tho treasurer. Miss A. Hartley, a gold chain and pendant in recognition of her long and valuable services to the lodge. In closing the- meeting the President thanked the members for the lienor they had conferred upon him, expressed his appreciation of their support in the past, and hoped that their united efforts wopkl lead t.c. still more -substantial progress in the fuinre.
