PARISH MEETINGS

ST. MICHAEL'S AND AIL ANGKLS. ANDERSON BAY. An exceptionally large, number of parishioners attended the animal meeting on Tuesday night, when the Rev. li. O. Fenton presided. The balance-sheet showed that all liabilities had been met, and that there was a sum of about £2O in hand. Receipts were 'ess than for the previous year or two, owing to the departure from the district of a number of familiea. The following elections and appointments took place:—Vicar's warden, Mr F. W. Atchley ; people's warden, Mr D. H. Lawlor; vestrvmen—Messrs A. Williams, A. E. Stallard, W. Ellis, R. Uavlev, Harold Smith, D. Hcatley. The Sunday school showed a large increase. The work of the guilds, organist, and choir was specially eulogised. The vicar mentioned the great help the Rev. V. G. B. King had given him. It was announced that tho building fund for a much-needed new church stood at £516. ST. MARK VS. GREEN ISLAND. The Rev. S. J. Cooper presided over the annuin.l meeting of parishioners, which was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening, and was largely attended. Thu secretary (Mr A. Harraway). in reading the animal report, congratulated members on the result of the past year's work. Although the offerings showed, a slight decrease, the year ended with a credit balance, cf £l7 14a 7<l.

Freeman; parishioner's church warden, Mr H. Clarke; vestrv—Messrs W. It. Overton, F. W. Eaaon. It. Nye, T. Tomkins, E. P. Rowlatt, A. Stewart, L. Coe. A. Harraway (secretary and treasurer). Votes of thanks to the various churdh workers concluded the business meeting, after which the usual parish social was held, tho local talent of the church being very much enjoyed. The meeting closed with the National Anthem.
