BOLSHEVIKS DEFEATED l\i CENTRE AND SOUTH. LONDON, April 29. Official despatches from Warsaw report that the anti-Bolshevik offensive has opened with good results. Yiiua, with the ’.owns of Lida, Novogrodsk and Baranovichi, to the southward, have been captured, with 2,000 prisoners. A Ukrainian official message reports that the Bolshevik army operating in the region of Gomel consisting mainly of peasants, surrendered, with 20,000 rifles, 200 machine guns, and 35 field guns. Many of the prisoners offered to join the Ukrainians in fighting against the Boliheviks in the Zitomir district. BALTIC PROVINCES. Reuter’s Telegrams. LONDON, April 29. During April 100,000 tons will have been ■ sent to Germany. Plans are being formulated to feed over a million children in the liberated areas of Central Eastern Europe.
