ZINGARI-RICHMOND CLUB. Between 40 and 50 members of the above club attended the annual meeting, which was held in the pavilion last evening. In moving the adoption of the .annual report the president (Mr R. Procter) said he considered they had had a better class of play during the last season than for a long time past. The second fifteen had a remarkable record, and the finishing match was splendidly played. The fifth grade team, too, deserved all the credit they had got, because they paid attention to their coaches and played the game for all they wero worth. Reference was made to the loss the club sustained during the year in the deaths of several members—including T. M’Donaid, a promising plaver, and an old vice-president in the person of the late Mf J- Abbott. The club .were congratulated on their sound financial position, and a hearty welcome extended to members returned from the front. Mr J. Watt seconded the motion, which was earned. Office-bearers were elected as follows: I resident, Mr R. Proctor; vice-presidents —Messrs C. E. Stalham. M.P., J. Watt, D. young. B. Coll e. W. Brown, J. B. Simpson. A. Low; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr M. Anderson; assistant secretary, Mr L. Hamer; committee—Messrs Tillyshorfc. Marett, Procter, Pellnwe, Herd, Barron, Cameron, Smith, and Watt; delegates to O.R.F. ,T .—the president, Messrs W. Brown, and J. Watt; auditor. Mr G. Smith; dub captain, Mr T. Kellan: practice captain, Mr J. Brown ; caretaker, Mr C. Currie. Twenty-one new members v.lve elected. It was decided to open the season on Saturday, March 29. Votes of thanks were accorded to the Referees’ and St. John Ambulance Associations and to the chairman.
