BLENHEIM, March 13,
Before to-day’s sitting of the Industries Commission, the Chairman said the Commission had valuable information; They thought they be able to some extent to reduce the cost of living as well aa help the industries of the country. Witnesses gave interesting evidence as to the, conditions and output of the whaling industry, which required a protective and developmental measure; hydro-electric development in Marlborough j and railway extension to the West (Mast coalfields in view of the prospective location of a naval base at Fiction.
