MINING The secretary of the Nokomai Hydraulic Sluicing Company reports that No. 2 dredge started to strip the top material oft the next paddock on Tuesday, 4th inst., and good progress was made. No. 3 had a full week's sluicing with two shifts. The Talisman Consolidated, Ltd., during February crushed and treated 760 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £5,058. Compared with the return for the corresponding period of last year, when 1,100 tons yielded £11,120, this shows a decrease, of £6.061. The expenditure for the past month totalled £3,839.
