RIFLE MEETING
Among ox-champions competing at this year's gathering' at Trent-ham is Colonel E R. .Smith, of Dunedin, who. won the Belt at-the 1894 gathering—just a quarter of a-century ago. In the Practice Match (of four Etagos) Colonel Gibbon (Chief of the General Staff) and Colonel Slecman (Director .of Military Training) were among the competitors. The former started fairly well, but could not keep up, while Colonel Sleeman managed to carry off a £i prize.
