PHOTO-PLAYS
HAY WARDS'. The excellent photo-play entitled, ' The Reason Why,' will be screened at this theatre again to-night. It is a tale of a Russian woman who tries to gain a higher social standing. This picture is adapted from Elinor Glyn's novel. The pictured version is in every respect equal to the book. There is a good supporting programme. PLAZA. A photo-play entitled ' The l>ht of Honor,' featuring Peggy Hyland, heads the bill at the- Plaza. This is an exciting spy story. There is a good supporting }srogramme including a comedy and a cartoon. EMPIRE. ' Jules of the Strong Heart,' is adapted from a story in ' Collier's', bv William Merriam Rouse, and George Beban, of course, has the title role. That it enables him to again demonstrate that as a delineator of Latin, types he has no peer, is the assertion of those who have seen the picture. Included in the supports are a comedy entitled ' Some Baby,' and two gazettes. KING'S. The screen version of Zane Gray's great story, ' Durand of the Bad Lands,' still continues to draw large audiences to the King's Theatre. This picture tells how a man was blamed for a murder of which he was innocent. There is a well-selected supporting programme.
