The ' Daily Chronicle' states that Britain and France have agreed to construct tho Channel tunnel, starting at both ends, without delay. The plans are alreadj prepared. In the House of Commons Mr Bonar Law stated that, with a view to finding employment for ex-soldiers, he was communicating with Mr Lloyd George respecting the Channel tunnel project. March 11. (Received March 12, at 9.5 a.m.) The Channel tunnel scheme under consideration provides for two tubes each 30 miles long, costing £20,000,000. Construction will occupy five years. A Commission at Paris is also considering the construction 'of tunnels at Constantinople and Gibraltar, giving direct rail communication between Europe, Asia, and Africa. Tho Commission has already agreed as to the advisability of the schemes.
