(Received March 12, at 9.5 a.m.) A London bacteriologist states that the prevailing influenza is due to the Pfeiffer bacillus. He. lias had the greatest success from inoculations with pure Pfeiffer bacillus vaccine. He asserts that the pneumonia mortality is primarily due to the weakening effect of : ivfluenza. Inoculation has been proved successful in preventing influenza. Tho Hospital staffs are now endeavoring to discover a, serum cure for mlluc-nza. MELBOURNE, March 11. Six additional deaths from influenza are reported. 1 Ma*rh 12. There have been 10 more deaths from influenza. SYDNEY. March 11. One. .additional death front influenza is reported.
