RAVENSBOURNE SCHOOL

The above school held its annual picnic on the Dunedin Jockey Club’s racecourse at Wingatui on Saturday, when the weather was all that could be desired. In addition to a practically full muster of children, the parents and friends availed themselves of the outing to a very large extent. The day was pleasantly spent, and it was commonly' agreed that the picnic was one of the most successful that the school has yet held. Amongst the apologies received was ono from the Mayor (Mr H. E. Holler), Mr R. Haweridge, Rev. A. Gray, Mr C. Hudson, and Mr T. Ross, who were unable to be present on account of prior engagement',. Complimentary remarks were made on the excellent results obtained, and it was universally agreed that the Ravenshourne School was indeed fortunate in still having the services of such a thorough and capable head master as Mr J. B. Grant.
