DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE, SUMMARY OF WKKiK'S BUBINES& The local marine* has zemeined faro throughout the past -week, there evidently being plenty of money availably for investment. Union Banks (rights to new, issue and fractional certificates) have had a good turnover. Bank of New Zealand shares have remained firm. National Banks have eased slightly, and are now quoted 1 about £6 Bs. In the insurance market Nationals and Standards have continued in good demand, the former having bnyens at £3 2s and the latter at 475, cam dividend. In shipping shares Hoddart-P&rkenß have fluctuated between 40s 8d and 4s 9&, there having been a large turnover of business during the -week. P. and O. shares hare firmed slightly, with, sales at £395. Union Steams (preference) have been wanted at 21s 2d, with sellers asking 21a Bd. Westport Coal* have had business at 31s 6d and 31a 9d. Wcsstpart-Stocktons are inclined to firm slightly, buyers offering 7s 9d. In woollen snares Kai&poi Woollens (ordinary) have been -wanted at £7 6s, and Mosglelfl at £5 la. Bmco Woollens have been misapplied at 35s 6d, ■while Oamaru have been wanted at 32s 6d, Wilson's New Zealand Cements nave remained at about 15% been inclined to firm, irttii buyers at 355, New Zealand Paper Mills have had good business at 22s 9d, with further buyers at that price. Colonial Sugar Company shares have been wanted on a rising market at £24 2s 6d. Rubber shares have been inclined to be easier, Dominion B«bber» have been offered at 30b 9d, and Papuan Products at 2b 3d. D.LC. preference shares have had sales at 21s Id, -with farther buyers at 21s. and sellers at Zls 4di New Zealand Refrigerating shares bav? had business at 53s 6d. National Mori* gage shares continue in good demaaadv with buyers at 90s. New Zealand Drags have also had business at 53s 6& Wright, fkephensons have been in good demand, the ordinary issue being: asked for at £8 ss. Whltcombe and Tombs, Perpetual Trustees, and 'Otago Dairy Times' shares have all had buyers at lull market rates, with no shares offering. In the mining section of the market Talisman _ GonsoHdateds have been quoted ex dividend of Is, with buyers at 8s 3d and sellers at 8s 9d. Walhls have been inclined to be easier, whilst Waahi Grand Junction* have lied business at. 13s, and Mount a* 23s 9d. There has been good inquiry fear West Coast mine shares, but at low prices. Consolidated Goldnelde have been asked for at 3s 63, and Progress Mines of New Zealand at the same price. The dredging market has been very quiet during the -week. Pose and -Shines have been on offer on one or two occasions at 15s, and Rising Suns at 9s, but buyers have been standing wide. Shies on 'Change to-day: Mount I/yell, 23s 9d.
