At the invitation of Mr A. Paters on the employees of Paterson and Barr, Ltd., assembled at bis reaidetco in Queen street to spend a social evening prior to his departure for England via America. A most enjoyable evening was spent in song and story, item's being contributed by the various employees in a, very acceptable mancer. The occasion was taken advantage of to present Mr Paterson, Mrs Paterson, and Miss Paterson with. Kma.ll tokens of the regard and esteem in which they are held by the employees.
